Uniform
There is no required uniform for classes, however all students must follow our essential dress code. This includes practical, comfortable clothing that allows for full movement, suitable trainers, and long hair tied back. Students arriving in unsuitable clothing or with their hair not tied back will not be able to take part in class.
We recommend purchasing a 'HTA Rehearsal T-shirt' for classes (optional). However, it is mandatory for all students participating in our showcase to have an 'HTA Show T-shirt'. Old uniforms will continue to be accepted until June 2028.
Not permitted: skirts, denim, Crocs, sandals, boots, or school uniforms.
In addition, students must bring their lyrics and scripts to every session to ensure classes run smoothly and effectively.
All students taking part in our end of year showcase (street dance & theatre classes) will be required to wear one of our 'HTA Show t-shirts', plain black sports shorts or cycling shorts and PLAIN black trainers or plimsoles (this includes no white soles/ nike ticks) with trainer socks that can't be seen past the shoe. All long hair must be slicked back into a pony using gel/ hairspray where necessary.
You can order your uniform directly through your portal/ app and will be given out to the students in class.

Throughout the day, students will be supported by our team of teachers, chaperones, helpers, first aiders and backstage crew to ensure a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience.
We also have a Parent Liaison Officer available to contact you, should any issues arise. Expectations
At our school, we set the bar high because we know our students are capable of amazing things!
We ask that everyone learns their lines, lyrics, and practices choreography at home. To help with this, we’ll send performance videos at the end of each term for extra practice. Consistency is key, so we expect students to attend regularly. If you can’t make a lesson, please let us know in advance whenever possible. If a student misses more than three lessons in a row without a valid reason, unfortunately, they may have to leave the school - performing is all about teamwork, and it wouldn’t be fair to the rest of the class. Lastly, come prepared!
Every student should bring a folder with their lyrics and wear the correct uniform to each lesson.
Let’s work together to create something amazing!
Leave Notice
HTA requires a minimum of one full calendar month’s written notice to withdraw
from classes.
All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to:
As payments are processed on the 1st of each month:
-
Notice submitted on or after the 1st will result in that months and the following month’s payment still being due.
-
Monthly instalments contribute towards the overall annual course fee and are not payments for individual sessions attended.
Failure to attend classes does not remove the obligation to pay unless written
notice has been received and acknowledged.
If a student withdraws from a production within two months of the performance
date, HTA reserves the right to charge a £40 production fee to cover non-
refundable costs including:
Costumes
Licensing
Production expenses
Administration costs
This fee is payable in addition to the required notice period. For our Show Team, there is a £50 fine if you leave at any point once you have accepted your space. Please refer to our show team information pack for further details.
